Lyme Ambulance is yet another reason to love living in Lyme. It is one of New England’s few remaining “no-cost to the patient” emergency & basic-care ambulance services… which means patients never have to hesitate.
And they don’t.
Since our beginning 40 years ago in 1975, our proud volunteers have answered more than 5,000 calls. For other ambulance associations, that’s over $2.5 million in fees.
For us, a tip of the hat.
We do not depend on Lyme tax revenues. Rather, we are sustained by the generosity and vision of the Lyme community we serve.
This valuable class, offered by certified Lyme Ambulance crew members, has been attended by over 70 appreciative Lyme residents in the last two years. It’s part of our commitment to making Lyme a
“Heart Safe” community.
Classes are held at the Lyme Public Hall, and participants must register in advance by calling 860-434-5667.
Read this section BEFORE you have an emergency. It will equip you with the information you need to be prepared for whatever may occur and help us provide the best emergency response services available.
We’re winding up our annual fundraising drive. If you haven’t donated yet, please consider giving whatever you can to ensure we meet our $65,000 annual budget. To make an online donation right now, just click the “Support Us” button at the top of the page.
Please consider too donating your time as a volunteer. We need ambulance drivers as well as EMT’s and EMR’s. We will pay for your training. For more information, call Ed Vidou at: 860-575-8025.
We are one of the last ambulance organizations in the state that does not charge for its services. Your donation or volunteerism will help us continue to provide no-fee service for the Lyme community. Please help if you can. Thank you.
